The 2024 Charlotte Perinatal Bereavement Conference was a lovely gathering in-person and online of 30+ nurses, therapists, and other professionals seeking to learn more on best care practices for families losing their babies in a hospital or clinic setting. We extend a special thanks to our three speakers: Sherokee Ilse, Kaela O'Donnell, and April Keever.

    Session 1: Empty Arms

Session 2: Five Principles of Perinatal Care

    Miscellaneous Notes

    • Very important stillbirth and infant loss research study being done - results will be available early 2025! Dr Jenna Kremkow, in memory of her daughter Jules, is a loss mom, speech-language pathologist, and researcher who is heading this study. • If you have any questions or feedback about the conference or Gemma's Hope please email Ally Shaw at gemmas.hope.nonprofit@gmail.com

If you are interested in becoming a Baby Loss Advisor and bringing those important services to our Charlotte community please email Ally at gemmas.hope.nonprofit@gmail.com to be added to an interest list. We need 10+ people to do the courses locally, but there is also interest in traveling to Pittsburgh or Nashville in the near future as well.
