Angel Gowns are unisex baby gowns created out of beautiful donated wedding dresses. Sometimes blankets and cradles can also be created from these dresses for smaller miscarried babies. These gowns are a beautiful gift for deceased babies because it allows the baby to be buried/cremated in a beautiful outfit created out of a material that would normally be worn to their baptism, prom, graduation, or wedding - events that this sweet baby won't get to experience.
You can donate a wedding dress, request a supply of gowns (if you are a hospital and you don't currently have any), or send your own wedding dress to have a custom gown/creation made. Below is a list of organizations and what services they can provide.
Note: Many organizations are overwhelmed with dress donations, but don't have enough seamstresses or hospital demand to fulfill every request. Many organizations have gone to a waitlist to select incoming dress donations, and often times these fill up instantly. This leaves many dresses wanting to be donated but with no place to go. Consider donating your dress to a local charity like Brides for a Cause or Brides Against Breast Cancer.
